ROYAL JELLY
Description: Royal Jelly is a thick, viscous, white pharyngeal gland secretion of worker Bees (Apis mellifera) that is fed to Queen Bees. In addition to Queen Bees, all Bee larvae are fed exclusively on Royal Jelly for the first three days of their lives. Future Queen Bees continue to be fed by Royal Jelly for the rest of the lives. Queen Bees are 50% larger than female worker Bees. It is believed that Royal Jelly is responsible for the additional Stamina and longevity of Queen Bees (who typically live for four to five years compared to worker Bees who live for approximately 40 days.
