| Karen Michael was born and raised in Akron, Ohio where she studied music and mass media and communications in college.
She moved to Wisconsin in 1985 and completed a bachelors degree in nursing at The University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh in 1992.
She has studied piano for over 33 years and also plays violin and guitar, and has sung with the women's chorus Chammanade.
Her interests include music, reading, film, history, gardening, and the arts. She also enjoys spending quality time with her cats.
